Lamb: It’s what’s for dinner.

Jamie discovered the joys of playing with kitchenware this weekend. He crawled into the kitchen to watch Pop-Pop making green beans on the stove. We gave him his own pot and spoon, and he just kept his eyes on Pop-Pop, practicing stirring just like he did. Jamie is a natural chef! He kept wanting to put things into his pot and practice stirring, though, instead of actually banging like most toddlers do, though, so we had a sad casualty as dear Lamb Chop became an ingredient…poor Lamb Chop. She was a sweet little lamb. Hmmm. Maybe the lamb stew will be sweet as well…

We are finally crawling! Jamie started propelling himself forward on Sunday, Sept. 16! The following Tuesday (Sept. 18) he started feeding himself, and the day after that, he waved “bye-bye” to his teacher at preschool when we were leaving…all these breakthroughs always seem to come at once!

 

The Joker is Wild…

 

Really wild, to be accurate. This is Jamie wearing his pants on his head, in case you can’t tell. He thought this was a pretty good look for himself. He had lots of fun in his headdress until his head started sweating in the waistband and I finally made him take it off. Not before Grandma could turn him into a playing card, though! 🙂
